5-Star Hotels in Da Nang City Centre

Novotel and Hilton are on Bach Dang. Crowne Plaza is on Quang Trung. Meliá Vinpearl Riverfront is the east-bank hotel, in Son Tra.

The 5-star city hotels people mean by “city center” are three west-bank properties and one east-bank property. Novotel Danang Premier Han River is at 36 Bach Dang. Hilton Da Nang is at 50 Bach Dang. Crowne Plaza Danang City Centre is at 17 Quang Trung. Meliá Vinpearl Danang Riverfront is across the river, at 341 Tran Hung Dao, An Hai Bac, Son Tra. I am not calling that one Hai Chau. A pretty river view does not move a ward boundary, and I like a ward boundary that stays where the map put it.

The beach resorts are a different product. They are in the luxury resorts guide. This page is the city list. I checked the hotel sites and Agoda on 27 October 2026. I am not printing a nightly rate. The hotel pages show a figure only when Agoda returns one. A rate I typed from memory would be fan fiction, and this page is not that.

Quick facts

  • West bank, Bach Dang: Novotel at 36 Bach Dang (Accor: 5 stars). Hilton at 50 Bach Dang (Agoda: 5.0 gold stars, provided by the property).
  • West bank, one street in: Crowne Plaza at 17 Quang Trung, Hai Chau Ward, 550000. Agoda lists 5.0 gold stars, provided by the property. IHG lists 283 rooms and 31 storeys.
  • East bank: Meliá Vinpearl Riverfront, 341 Tran Hung Dao, An Hai Bac, Son Tra. Melia.com says it is a 5-star hotel. Agoda’s highlight is 360 metres from the city centre.
  • Check-in: Novotel, Hilton and Crowne Plaza from 15:00. Meliá from 14:00. All four list check-out at 12:00.
  • My Khe, as listed: Agoda pins My Khe Beach at 2.68 km from Novotel, 2.44 km from Hilton, 2.7 km from Crowne Plaza and 1.87 km from Meliá. IHG’s own figure for Crowne Plaza is 3.6 km. Accor lists “Danang Beach” at 4.4 km from Novotel. Those pins are not the same point.
  • Show times: the Dragon Bridge hotels guide covers the bridge. I am not restating a show time here.

Novotel, 36 Bach Dang

Accor calls Novotel Danang Premier Han River a 5-star hotel at 36 Bach Dang Street, Hai Chau District, 550000 Danang. GPS on that page is 16.077222, 108.223333. Phone +84 236 3929 999. Email H8287@accor.com. Check-in from 15:00, check-out up to 12:00. ALL rating on the same page is 4.8/5 from 2,100 reviews, with review dates in October 2026.

Accor lists the Han River at 20 metres, a 3-minute walk, and Han Market at 1 km (17-minute walk, 3-minute drive). The Cham Museum is 2 km. “Danang Beach” is 4.4 km, an 11-minute drive. Agoda’s My Khe Beach pin is 2.68 km, and Agoda’s Dragon Bridge pin is 1.85 km. I am using both, because a beach pin and a “Danang Beach” label are not the same measurement. If the official pages cannot agree on the sand, I am not going to pick a favourite and call it geography.

Agoda lists 5.0 gold stars and says the property provides them, with the highlight “Inside city center”. Agoda-only score is 8.8 from 7,971 reviews. The same page’s combined count is 9,267, also 8.8. This page uses the Agoda-only count. Agoda lists 418 rooms, 36 floors, opened 2013, renovated 2022, one restaurant and three bars. Wi-Fi is 0 VND. Breakfast is 380,000 VND unless the rate includes it. Airport transfer is 300,000 VND, and Agoda’s airport time is 5 minutes.

The river-view names on Accor are Superior Room, Balcony, Han River View, Deluxe Room, Balcony, Dragon Bridge View, and the Executive rooms with a Han River balcony and Premier Lounge access. Accor also lists city-view rooms, several of them at 28 m². The Square is the restaurant, Gourmet Bar is the bar, and the Premier Lounge is on the 29th floor. The pool is called Splash. InBalance is the gym and the spa. Book the name that names the river if the river is why you came. A city-view room is a different window, and windows are the whole point at this price.

Hilton, 50 Bach Dang

Hilton.com returned a 403 when I opened the hotel page, so the Hilton facts here are Agoda’s. That response is a very polite no. I took the hint and used the listing that actually loaded. Agoda’s English name is Hilton Da Nang. Stars are 5.0, and the tooltip says the gold stars are provided by the property. The address is 50 Bach Dang St, Hai Chau Ward, Hải Châu, Da Nang. Agoda also prints a postal code of 50000, which looks truncated, so I am not using it. The highlight is “Inside city center”.

Agoda-only score is 8.9 from 5,403 reviews: cleanliness 9.4, location 9.3, service 9.2, value 8.9, facilities 8.8. The combined count on the same page is 6,762. I am using 5,403. Check-in from 15:00, check-out until 12:00. Agoda lists 28 floors, three restaurants and one bar, and non-smoking rooms. It does not list a room count, so I am not stating one. Daily parking and Wi-Fi are 0 VND. Breakfast is 453,600 VND unless the rate includes it. Airport time is 12 minutes.

Agoda’s landmark pins: Han River Bridge 560 m, Dragon Bridge 1.37 km, My Khe Beach 2.44 km. Room names include King Guest Room River View, King One Bedroom Suite River View, King One Bedroom Suite City View, and rooms Agoda calls ocean view, including King Executive Ocean View with Lounge Access. “Ocean view” is Agoda’s label. I have not confirmed what that window actually faces. I will not promise you the sea from a label I could not stand in front of.

Crowne Plaza, 17 Quang Trung

IHG’s page for Crowne Plaza Danang City Centre puts the hotel at 17 Quang Trung, Hai Chau Ward, Da Nang City, 550000. Front desk +84 236 730 7999. Email info@cpdanangcity.com. 283 guestrooms and suites, 31 storeys. Check-in 15:00, check-out 12:00. Minimum check-in age 18. One outdoor pool, with separate adult and children’s sections. Fitness, Breathe Spa, and one restaurant, Embers & Leaves. Free Wi-Fi. Complimentary parking, one level underground and one above ground, for registered guests. Pets are not allowed. There is no complimentary shuttle. Weekend breakfast is 06:30–10:30. The page does not give the weekday breakfast hours. I am not going to invent a Tuesday morning to fill the gap.

IHG’s distances: Dragon Bridge 1.8 km, Han Market 1.5 km, Da Nang Cathedral 1.5 km, My Khe Beach 3.6 km, Da Nang airport about 4.1 km. The same page also says a 15-minute walk to Dragon Bridge. I am using the kilometres. Agoda’s pins are close but not identical: Dragon Bridge 1.66 km, My Khe Beach 2.7 km, the cathedral 930 m. Agoda’s “distance from city center” is 1 km, and the highlight is “Inside city center”. When the same building produces different distances, I print both and let you see the wobble.

Agoda lists 5.0 gold stars, provided by the property. Agoda-only score is 9.1 from 4,067 reviews: cleanliness 9.5, service 9.5, value 9.4, facilities 9.3, location 9.1. The combined count is 5,530. I am using 4,067. Agoda says the hotel opened in 2023, with a 2025 renovation, 283 rooms, 31 floors, one restaurant and two bars. Agoda’s extras block prints the airport transfer and breakfast in US dollars at figures that do not make sense as a Da Nang fee. I am not publishing those numbers. Check the rate. A nonsense fee is worse than a blank.

IHG’s copy says the rooms look over the city and the Han River, including Dragon Bridge. Agoda’s room names are more specific. Several say river view, including 1 King Standard River View and the junior and bedroom suites with lounge access. 1 King Standard and Premium Room do not say river view. Book the name that matches the window you want. The name is the contract. The brochure is the mood.

The Han Market guide is the page for that building. IHG’s 1.5 km is a Grab or a determined walk, not a stroll from the lobby. Determined is a personality. It is not a distance.

Meliá is the other bank

Melia.com says Meliá Vinpearl Danang Riverfront is a 5-star hotel at 341 Tran Hung Dao Street, An Hai Bac Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang, 550000. Phone +84 236 364 2888. Email mvdn.info@melia.com. Check-in from 14:00, check-out before 12:00. That is an hour earlier than the three west-bank hotels. If you land early, that hour is the nicest small print on this page.

The hotel’s own distances are 1.3 km from Han Market, 1.8 km from Dragon Bridge, and 10 km from Linh Ung Pagoda and the Son Tra Peninsula. Agoda’s Dragon Bridge pin is 1.1 km, and Agoda’s My Khe Beach pin is 1.87 km. Agoda’s highlight is “360 meters from city center”. The address is still Son Tra, on the east bank. One bridge from Bach Dang, not the same grid. I will keep saying the bank out loud, because the highlight would like you to forget it.

The official page lists a 420 m² outdoor pool, YHI Spa, a fitness centre, free Wi-Fi, a kids club and parking. Airport transfer and the shuttle are an extra fee. It names five restaurants and bars: Han River 1, Han River 2, Rumba, Moss and Gaia. Agoda lists three restaurants and 864 rooms, and lists non-smoking rooms as no. I am not repeating the hotel’s line about having the most rooms in the city. 864 is Agoda’s count. A big number can sit there without a crown.

Agoda lists 5.0 gold stars, provided by the property. Agoda-only score is 8.9 from 10,220 reviews: service 9.3, cleanliness 9.2, facilities 9.2, location 9.2, value 9.1. The combined count is 12,060. I am using 10,220. Breakfast on Agoda is 280,000 VND unless the rate includes it. Airport transfer is 350,000 VND. The room list on Melia.com includes Suite Panoramic River View, 570 sq ft, and several city-view rooms, including Deluxe Room Horizon View on floors 25 to 36.

The Melia page shows 4.9/5 from 17,556 reviews and labels that block as Google reviews. That is a different count from Agoda’s 10,220. Different scores, different crowds. I am not averaging them into a number I invented in the margin.

If you wanted the beach

Cicilia Danang Hotels & Spa is not a city-centre hotel. The hotel’s about page puts it at No. 06-08-10, Do Ba street, T20 beach. Agoda lists 4.0 gold stars, provided by the property, 200 rooms and 18 floors. The beach distance is three different sentences: the hotel says a few steps, Agoda’s highlight says 160 metres, and Agoda’s My Khe Beach pin says 550 m. The hotel page carries all three. Agoda’s city-centre distance for Cicilia is 4 km. I would pack for the pin, not for the poetry.

For the rest of the beach strip, use where to stay in Da Nang and the My Khe area. The city centre area is the west-bank grid these three hotels sit in, plus the walk to Han Market.

Booking a river-view room

Climatestotravel’s Da Nang table, 1991–2020 averages, puts the bulk of the rain in September to December. October is about 650 mm over 20 days. November is about 430 mm over 20 days. February is about 25 mm over 6 days, March about 20 mm over 4 days, April about 35 mm over 5 days. The dry season on that page is February to April. I am not calling November to February the peak. A rainy month with a nice nickname is still a rainy month.

The rooms that go first, when the river is the reason to book, are the named ones: Novotel’s Han River and Dragon Bridge balconies, Hilton’s King Guest Room River View and the river-view suite, Crowne Plaza’s river-view standards and suites, and Meliá’s Suite Panoramic River View. City-view names are a different room. Check today’s rate. A free-cancellation rate locks that price. This page does not invent a discount. If the river room is gone, the city-view room is still a room. It is just not the one you came for.

FAQ

Which hotels are the west-bank 5-stars?

Novotel at 36 Bach Dang, which Accor lists as 5 stars, and Hilton at 50 Bach Dang. Crowne Plaza is at 17 Quang Trung, one street in from the river. Agoda lists Hilton and Crowne Plaza at 5.0 gold stars and says the property provides those stars. I would read the room name before I read the star.

Is Meliá Vinpearl Riverfront on the same bank?

Melia.com addresses it at 341 Tran Hung Dao, An Hai Bac, Son Tra. That is the east bank. Agoda’s highlight says 360 metres from the city centre. The hotel’s own Dragon Bridge distance is 1.8 km. Agoda’s pin says 1.1 km. Close to the centre on a highlight is still the other side of the water.

How far is My Khe?

Agoda’s My Khe Beach pin is 2.68 km from Novotel, 2.44 km from Hilton, 2.7 km from Crowne Plaza and 1.87 km from Meliá. IHG lists 3.6 km for Crowne Plaza. Accor lists Danang Beach at 4.4 km from Novotel. None of these is a walk-out morning swim. Bring a Grab, or bring patience and a very optimistic pair of shoes.

What time is check-in?

Novotel, Hilton and Crowne Plaza: from 15:00, out by 12:00. Meliá: from 14:00, out before 12:00. Those times are on Accor, Agoda and Melia.com. The early hour at Meliá is the one I would notice if the flight lands before lunch.

Are the Non Nuoc resorts the same thing?

No. InterContinental Sun Peninsula, Naman, Fusion and the other resort compounds are in the luxury resorts guide. They are not Bach Dang hotels. Pools the size of a neighbourhood are a different trip.

When should I book a river-view room?

When the river is why you picked the hotel. Climatestotravel’s drier months are February to April. September to December is the wet block, with October the wettest. A free-cancellation rate locks today’s price. The city-view room names are still on sale after the river-view names go. Book the window you actually want, then keep the cancellation. That is the whole trick.
