A researched guide to Da Nang, written by Lia
Da Nang deserves a guide that will say the quiet part. That is why Da Nang Pointer exists, and why I edit it.
A lot of travel pages are either a weekend diary that went stale, or a booking site that will not tell you which beach is a pain in October. Neither helps when you are trying to pick a bed.
I research the guides from current sources: official venue info, recent traveller reviews, booking-site listings and local news. Which area to sleep in, what is worth the time, and what I would skip. Hotels are ranked by guest scores. Activities are ranked by published ratings. If a place is not worth it, the page says so. I do not invent a stay to make the sentence warmer.
How we work
Checked sources
I base a recommendation on recent traveller reviews and the property's own listing, plus official venue info and local news.
Affiliate, not advertising
Some links earn a small commission when you book, at no extra cost to you. That never changes a ranking or a recommendation. Agoda and Travelpayouts are named on the affiliate disclosure.
Updated, not abandoned
Prices, openings and closures change fast in Da Nang. I refresh and re-date a page when those details change, instead of leaving the old number up.
