Da Nang has a long beach strip and several resorts built properly for families: real kids clubs, children’s pool zones, room setups that fit four people without feeling like a bunk room. The Non Nuoc strip south of the city holds the best of them. Large compound resorts, multiple pools, dedicated kids clubs, managed beachfront sections with lounger service. The My Khe strip closer to the city centre trades resort scale for location and value.
Pick the wrong zone and the trip becomes a series of Grabs. A family that wants most of the days at the resort, kids occupied for three hours each morning while the parents read by the pool, should be in a different place from a family that wants beach access next to city restaurants and day trips. I would not pretend those are the same holiday.

What separates a good family resort from a bad one
A pool with a shallow end is not a family pool. The resorts below earn the label because they have, at minimum, a separate children’s pool or shallow zone, a staffed kids club (not just a room with toys), room configurations that work for families of four or more, and beach or pool supervision during the main season.
One thing I would check before anyone books: age cutoffs. Most kids clubs here run from age 4 to 12. Resorts with toddler provisions are noted below. Pullman is the strongest for under-4s. If you are travelling with a child under 3, the kids club will not take them unsupervised, so the pool and beach setup matters more than the activity schedule.

Non Nuoc resorts
Non Nuoc is the right base for a resort-focused stay. The beach here is wider and the water calmer than the My Khe northern strip, which helps when children need predictable, shallow water. The tradeoff is access. Non Nuoc sits 8 km south of Da Nang’s city centre, past the Marble Mountains, and getting anywhere beyond the resort perimeter means a Grab.
Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa
Hyatt is the easiest default if you want the resort to carry the trip. On 49 acres with five outdoor pools, there is enough space and enough on-property activity that a week here will not feel repetitive. The kids-specific setup is the most comprehensive in Da Nang. I would book it if the children need a programme and the adults need somewhere to sit still.
Camp Hyatt runs daily for children aged 4–12, with a dedicated programme that tracks kids’ progress through activities with a stamp-collection passport. Furama is the oldest resort on this stretch, open since 1997, and the one that feels most like a genuine tropical garden rather than a modern compound. The grounds are 6 hectares of established planting: wide lawns, mature palms, garden pathways between the beach and the rooms. The pace is unhurried in a way the newer resorts are not quite.
The Kids Club operates next to the resort lobby with indoor supervision and outdoor beach play. Furama’s standout family programme is the Water Fun Zone: swimming lessons with qualified instructors, plus their “Swim to Survive” class that teaches water safety skills with practical techniques. Conical hat painting and tennis lessons (for children aged 8+) round out the activity schedule. The kids club is not as age-segmented as Pullman’s, but for families with school-age children the programme is well-structured.

My Khe and city-area options
If the plan is a mix of beach time and city exploration (restaurants, the Dragon Bridge, day trips to Hoi An or Ba Na Hills), My Khe is a better base than Non Nuoc. The city is close, Grab is cheap, and the beach is a short walk from most hotels on the strip. The Dragon Bridge show is the night I would build into a family week, not a resort activity sheet.
TMS Hotel Da Nang Beach
The most practical family hotel on My Khe. TMS has a children’s pool alongside the main outdoor pool, a free kids club for in-house guests with a staffed indoor play area and outdoor playground, and interconnecting rooms that solve the “two separate bedrooms” problem without booking a villa. The 25th-floor infinity pool faces north along My Khe toward Son Tra Peninsula, the best pool view in the building, though the children’s pool is at ground level. Beach access is directly across Vo Nguyen Giap Street: 30 seconds on foot. The breakfast buffet is consistently well-reviewed, with Vietnamese and international options. The sand here is flat enough for a morning run if one adult gets the early shift.
TMS does not have the resort scale or kids club depth of Hyatt or Pullman, but it is a solid family-oriented hotel at city-hotel prices. For a 5–7 night trip that mixes beach days with day trips to Hoi An, Ba Na Hills, and the Marble Mountains, TMS is often the most sensible choice. I would book it if the family wants the city as much as the sand.

The InterContinental sits on Son Tra Peninsula, the forested headland north of Da Nang, home to the Lady Buddha statue, rather than on the main beach strip. The position is dramatic. The resort is built into a clifftop above a private bay, and the setting is a different category from anywhere on My Khe or Non Nuoc.
The Planet Trekkers kids club runs daily 9am to 6pm for children aged 4–12, with nature-inspired activities that lean into the jungle and bay: outdoor discovery, marine life sessions, cooking classes, and beach exploration. The location is the main tradeoff. Son Tra is 20–30 minutes from the city centre by Grab. It is the right choice for families who want a genuine resort escape with nature, seclusion, and the best facilities in the region. It is the wrong choice for families who want city access alongside the beach. I would book it for the setting, and only if the rate does not make everyone tense.
