Tinh Vien Son Tra is a bamboo conservation garden on Son Tra Peninsula, tended by a resident monk who has worked the site since 2005. The garden holds more than 100 bamboo varieties including several rare and endemic Vietnamese species, set on a forested hillside above the Da Nang coast. Entry is on a donation basis with no set ticket price. The site is quiet, shaded, and different from the beach and resort activity of the rest of the peninsula. Go in the morning when it's cool; the walk through the groves is the main draw. A motorbike or Grab is needed to reach it — combine it with the Lady Buddha viewpoint or Son Tra Nature Reserve for a half-day on the peninsula.
