Mũi Nghê is a rocky cape on the southeastern tip of Son Tra Peninsula, about 15 km and 30 minutes from Da Nang city centre by motorbike. It is the first point in Da Nang to receive sunrise, drawing visitors from around 4 am for the light over the sea. The site has a natural rock formation said to resemble a sea lion, a small saltwater lake, and reef areas that support snorkelling tours. The road past Linh Ung Pagoda is paved but steep — semi-automatic motorbikes are recommended; large-wheeled automatic bikes may struggle on the final stretch. Parking costs ₫15,000; entry is free.
