Dong Da is a working wet market in Hai Chau where locals buy daily groceries — not a tourist attraction, which is exactly why it is worth visiting. Stalls run from fresh seafood (clams, squid, crabs, shrimp) and vegetables through to dried fish, spices, and household goods. The produce section is busiest before 9am when everything is at its freshest. Bargaining is normal; prices are in Vietnamese only so bring a phone translator if needed. Expect noise, tight aisles, and some of the cheapest dried squid and seaweed in Da Nang.
